Oliver first discovered circus at The Flying Fruit Fly Circus in Albury, Australia. He trained there throughout his last years of high school with a focus on static trapeze and aerial silks. After graduating in 2009 he spent some time performing and teaching, eventually coming to work with A4 Circus Ensemble and their show DownPour, where he began to work with hula hoops.
With a desire to continue his training Oliver moved to Montreal, Canada in early 2011, and ended up staying for the following five years. After a year of private classes and training, he was accepted into the prestigious Ecole Nationale de Cirque de Montréal where he spent four years working on double bar dance trapeze, hula hoops, and a host of other skills including dance, acrobatics, handstands, acting and creation.
Oliver has been teaching circus alongside his training and performance for the last 8 years. He has taught at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus (including being a guest trainer for the National Training Project 2015), at Ecole Nationale de Cirque as a recreational level coach, he was a guest tutor at The European Aerial Dance Festival 2016, and has recently taught the professional program at Gravity Circus Centre in London.
