Alberto Díaz
Alberto was born on March 8, 1994, in Santiago, Chile, in a vast valley shaped by the Andes Mountains.
From an early age, he developed a fascination with movement. Skateboarding shaped his relationship with the urban environment, while a deep curiosity for the social sciences nurtured his critical understanding of the world.
In 2012, he began his artistic training at El Circo del Mundo (CDM, Chile), acquiring a strong technical foundation in Static Trapeze. Driven by a desire to question established forms and craft his own scenic language, he joined the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC, France) in 2018. There, he specialized in Single-Point Trapeze and expanded his vocabulary through Aerial Straps, Acrodance, Juggling, and Contemporary Dance.
Throughout his path, he has collaborated with directors such as Camila Osorio Ghigliotto, Alain Villeux, Christophe Huysman, Raphaëlle Boitel (Cie. L’Oubliée), Lali Álvarez, Gari Shochat (Cie. Kamchátka), and Alice Laloy (Cie. S’Appelle Reviens), exploring diverse creative approaches to physical theatre and the dramaturgy of circus-based acrobatic movement.
He is currently on tour as an acrobatic performer with Le Ring de Katharsy, Cie. S’Appelle Reviens, a dystopian theatre piece presented in the form of a handcrafted video game.
