Dawn Pascoe

Dawn Pascoe has a deep passion for creating aerial-dance-theatre works which are rich in imagery and emotion. She is a choreographic specialist in aerial dance, as well as a rigger, performer, director, devisor and artistic director of Natural Wings, which she founded in 2005. Dawn has a vast background in circus (Diploma from Circo Arts NZ) and Performing Arts (BA Theatre Arts at WAAPA).

Her first self devised work won the Best Solo Show at Wellington Fringe in 2006, and has since produced 8 full length aerial dance works, and won 5 awards including Best WA Circus Show at Fringe World (twice) and The People’s Choice Award at Toronto Buskerfest (along with Ruth Battle-Wayre and Rachel Strickland) which is one of the largest Street Art festivals in the world.

Career highlights include: – Performing to 3000 people per night at Canberra’s Enlighten Festival – Performing in site specific, outback locations for a 5 week, self produced tour in Western Australia. -Flying from cranes; harness dancing; looking at the sky and the vast horizon while doing what I love, along side people I adore; performing a dance trapeze duet with my daughter in my belly in the heart of Perth city, for all to see.
