Kate Dunne

Hi, I’m Kate, otherwise known as Kato. I am an aerialist, artist and teacher with a love of performance. Silks are my main love but I also dabble in rope, handstands, dance and as many other aerial apparatuses as I can (I have even invented my own!). I am known for my killer conditioning, in particular, my “pull up bar hell” classes and workshops. I have performed at multiple venues and festivals throughout Ireland and abroad.

My aerial practice is informed by my education in the National College of Art and Design, and particularly it is the potential combination of expressive movement with elements of visual art that inspire and motivate my training. Most recently I have been creating my own multidisciplinary shows solo show and collaborative work with Aduantas aerial company, I have also been working on social circus projects and as a creative mentor.
